DVPA "Quick and Current" - Wednesday September 2, 2009
All members should plan to attend the DVPA September Dinner Meeting on Wednesday, Sep. 16, at the airport terminal restaurant. This will not be the business meeting so guests are cordially invited.
The "you-pay" dinner may be from the buffet or off the menu.
A special guest speaker, a Phoenix TRACON controller, will discuss PHX airspace and transition routes.
See The September Meeting Flyer
Schedule:
Dinner - 6 p.m.
Program: 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Thelda Williams, Phoenix Councilwoman, is looking for a pilot and aircraft to give a plane ride donation during the Oct. 10 "Pioneer Village Days" celebration.
Anyone available for this worthy event should contact; communications@dvtpilot.com
The annual picnic is DVPA's biggest event and we are still very much in need of sponsors for the big event. If you know of any organization who may wish to support YOUR Association, use the Sponsor Application to get them on board.
On Saturday, Sept. 12, Atlantic Aviation will be hosting an aircraft wash fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Foundation, according to Rick Wielebski. The event will be at the north-side wash rack and a barbeque will accompany the event.
Rick Wielebski said more details would be forthcoming.
A first-ever Arizona Aircraft Expo is scheduled by leading aircraft dealers to display the latest models of general aviation aircraft at one venue. Two dates and locations are available.

Why do you fly?
We still need stories on why we fly. Everyone has a reason and probably a good story behind it
DVPA needs your story for the picnic "Gathering of Eagles." You do not have to include your name if you wish but it is preferred. We are proud of our members.
