DVPA "Quick and Current" - Monday September 14, 2009
TRACON speaking at DVPA Dinner Meeting (Wed, 9/16 ) Another dinner meeting is scheduled this week at the DVT Restaurant. Our speaker from PHX TRACON will be Doug Hart. Doug has 20+ years of Air Traffic Control radar controller experience. Many of our pilots have probably talked to him at one time or another as he had 10 years as a controller at ABQ Center and has spent 10 years as a Phoenix TRACON controller. Doug is a pilot also and can relate very easily to the cockpit side of flying.
This will be a very interesting evening and is one that you do not want to miss. Dinner starts 6pm with presentation following at 7pm-8:30pm. More details are avialable on the DVPA website
UPDATE (Atlantic Plane Wash) - A big thank you to all the DVT pilots who brought their airplanes over for a wash and made a contribution to the childrens "Make-a-Wish" foundation. It was a very successful event with all the contributions going to the "Make-a-Wish" foundation. DVPA and Atlantic Aviation thanks everybody for their participation at this year's event.
