DVPA "Quick and Current" December 5, 2009
Less than two weeks remain before the December 16 DVPA dinner meeting (Terminal Restaurant, 6 p.m.) and preparation of the traditional Christmas Trays. All members are encouraged to bring wrapped goodies to fill the trays that are our way of saying thanks to key supports such as DVT Tower, DVT Operations, DVT Admin, and others.
Who's on the other end of 118.4 or 120.2 MHz? See a Controller behind the voice at "Meet The Tower Staff" on the DVPA web site. Check out this feature and learn more.
No matter where you live in Arizona, Luke AFB has had a positive impact on our community. The F-16 program is being phased out and the government is deciding whether or not to bring the F-35 training program here or close the base. The loss of this base would place 1,000's of people out of work and significantly impact the economic stability of the west valley.
